HISTORY

An arena with a history

Fort Va, formerly Fort Bonin (Zwischenwerk Va), is one of the 18 forts of the Prussian Poznań Fortress, built in 1887–1890. In 1931 it was named after General Ludwik Mierosławski, and during the Battle of Poznań in February 1945 its defenders were the last of the garrisons of Forts IVa, V and Va to surrender. Today the fort is a listed historic monument, and part of it is an important winter roost for bats.

Since 2013, the fort’s casemates have been home to a laser tag arena. For over a decade, generation after generation of Poznań residents has played at the fort: birthday parties, bachelor and hen parties, corporate events, team trainings and summer camps. We have also run games away from the arena, including at Poznań Game Arena, student festivals and the Raciborski Festiwal Gamingowy.

ABOUT US

OUR TEAM

We are a team of five people who know this arena inside out. Together we founded Vanguard Arsenal, the company that now runs laser tag games under the Laser Tag Poznań brand: at the arena in Fort Va and at your location.

Every game is run by an instructor. They explain the rules, choose a scenario that suits your group and keep an eye on the game until the very end, whether 4 or 100 people are playing.

Laser tag games are operated by Vanguard Arsenal sp. z o.o.

What a game at Fort Va looks like

01

With an instructor from the first minute to the last

Every game starts with a briefing. We show you the equipment, explain the rules and choose a scenario for your group, because eight-year-olds at a birthday party play differently from a team at a corporate event. During the game, the instructor follows the action on the camera feed, keeps an eye on how it is going and steps in when needed: picks up the pace, changes the scenario or stops the game.

02

A setting over a hundred years old

We play in the casemates of the 19th-century Fort Va. Brick vaults, narrow passages and corridors without daylight create an atmosphere no hall can recreate. On the fort’s earthen roof above the casemates there is an outdoor field, and when it rains, the game simply moves underground.

03

All the thrills, no bruises

Laser tag uses no paintballs, so after the game you are left with memories, not bruises. That is why it works just as well for a child’s birthday as for a bachelor party or a corporate event. With the youngest players we go over the safety rules especially carefully and keep a constant eye on the game. The hygienic headbands worn under the sensor headbands are washed after every use in a hypoallergenic detergent with a disinfecting function.
